The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) meets five times per year; their only South Florida meeting in 2018 will be held on April 25-26, 2018, in North Ft. Lauderdale at the Marriott Hotel off I-95 at the Cypress Creek (NE 62d Street) exit.
Coincidentally, we understand that groupers and sharks will be on the agenda, although we do not know on which of the two days they will be addressed.
This is however, a critical meeting for the Goliath Grouper as the FWC will decide during this meeting on whether to lift the moratorium on harvesting these endangered creatures. DEMA is organizing to make their voice heard with speakers, signs, and T-shirts; we are all encouraged to attend this nearby FWC meeting to show our concern.

Enjoying the reefs while protecting coral, picking up reef trash, containing the lionfish threat, taking photos and videos of everything, and hanging out on board and on land with fellow divers.
Having fun and proud to be part of the West Palm Beach diving community.
